Kawaka
Calligrapher

About Kawaka
Writing is a cultural and voluntary act.
Writing well is an art that takes time and takes its time. Time for a breath, for meditation, for aesthetics, for philosophy.
Calligraphy is the combination of action and art to offer a pleasing and beautiful visual.
In the age of computers, no emotion can replace that provided by a handwritten letter.
Kawaca – River and Fire
Where I come from is of little importance.
As a child, I had a very specific goal: to become an artist.
At that age, a very big word that doesn't really mean much.
Growing up, I faced many obstacles. But over the years, stubborn and determined, after studying art and bookbinding in England, I rigorously, patiently and perseveringly trained myself in the art of calligraphy.
For over 30 years I have been expressing my passion through the creation of various works and sharing this art in service to others.
My major work, the creation of the Book of Psalms.
From the 1st to the 150th, I promised myself I would write them, partially or in full. Today, I have reached the end of this great project.
