 I particularly love the audacity of this painting! In the foreground, a man is sprawled on a sofa. Beside him, a woman sits holding a jug. She doesn't appear to be in a relaxed pose. The contrast and anachronism of the figures placed side by side, the bold composition with the biblical text in Arabic and its translation, make it a unique and highly original work.
